In Clinic+ there are both system based SMS templates and general SMS templates that can be used when needed. The system based SMS templates can be edited, but can never be removed. They are used for special system actions like
Confirming a booking
Changing a booking
Tell that the glasses are ready to be picked up
etc.
You can create your own SMS messages, or edit existing ones, in the config table called Message Templates. This option is available on both Clinic, Region and Chain level based on your need and access level.
Go to Config - Tables in the main menu. Click on the level you wish to edit the template for. Example if you click on Clinic this means that the template will only be visible in the clinic you are logged into.
From the drop down list, find Message Templates.
New SMS template
To create a new template, press New and give template a name. Select type SMS and category General to be able to use it everywhere. Press Save and the template will appear in the list of templates.
Click on the new template you created in the list. The middle column shows on what level the template is created (chain, region, shop). A template can only be edited on the level it was created.
If the template is created on the Clinic level and is deleted, then it’s gone forever. If a template is created on a higher level - example System or Chain level, then edited on Clinic level, and then deleted on Clinic level, you will go back to the template from the higher level. You cannot delete a template on a higher level than where you currently are.
Edit existing template
If you just wish to change the content of an existing template, just select the template in the list. If this is a system template and you change it, it will be converted into a template on the level you are. Example if you are on the Clinic level and edit the system template for confirming booking, the level will be set to Clinic when the template is saved.
Then you have created your own template for the confirm booking SMS and you can decide what content it should have.
Edit template content
On the right side, an editor appear with the actual template on different languages. Click on the language the clinic is using and edit the template here.
The templates support multiple variables that can be added in the text. A variable is a code that will be replaced with the actual information when SMS is sent. Example variable @ClientLastName is the surname of the client when sending.
In the text, when you wish to add a variable, press @ and a list of possible choices appear.
Select the one you wish to use and it will be added to the template.
When done, remember to Save the template. If you have clinics in different countries, the template can be created in different languages.
PS! For SMS we do not support rich text interface. So Bold, Italic etc cannot be used. Only plain text.
For info about how to use this template to send to multiple clients, see the article found here https://prooptics.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/kb/view/993230854?source=shareable-url
